Autumn Island Fog
LE0005 ... There is nothing quite like watching the autumn colors emerge through the early morning fog. Capturing this moment for others to share in the joy was a great honor.
"Listen"
LE0004 ... This incredible elk was listening intently to sounds nearby that I could not hear. As the elk wondered past where I was standing, it picked up a discarded soda can and a few other items and those images became part of a major anti-liter campaign in the local area. This was my favorite shot though as it showed such great peace, interest, strength, character, curiosity and reminds us all to stop and take a moment to be aware of and thankful for our surroundings.
"Billy's Island Sunset"
LE0001 ... The Okefenokee Swamp in Southeast Georgia just above the Florida state line is one of my favorite places in the world both to photograph and to spend time. My favorite times to be there are during sunrise or sunset. This is my favorite image from there during this beautiful sunset as it captures the amazing light and serenity that can only be felt at that moment in this location.
"Journey of the Soul"
LE0011 ... We all have certain things that bring peace to our very soul, and for me, its being next to a babbling brook and listening to the sounds of nature all around me in that perfect moment when the whole world seems at peace. That is what this image means to me. Inner and Outer Peace!
"Bell Mountain Sunset"
LE0002 ... There is an overlook at the very top of Bell Mountain nestled in the beautiful mountains of North GA. From this overlook, I have spent a lot of time watching many sunsets and had countless conversations with God. That feeling of tranquility and peace are present every time I see this image and I am honored to capture this experience to share with others.

LE0012 ... As sunflowers tend to follow the sun across the sky, we all need something in our lives upon which to place our focus and look to for life sustaining energy. What is yours? For me, it is the Son and I am reminded of that gift each time I see this image.

"Totality" Total Solar Eclipse 8-21-17
LE0015 ... As the Moon passes between the Earth and sun, everything below is cast into darkness. This one happened in the middle of the afternoon on a gorgeous and almost completely clear mid summer day. It was an experience I will never forget. I had no idea what to truly expect. I knew exactly how to capture the event digitally and even spent most of the day teaching others to do so themselves. When the moment arrived, I asked all of my students to take a moment to just take it all in and then go back to clicking away. This was my favorite image I captured during totality. This is known as the Diamond Ring Effect and it happens only for a brief few seconds as the sun slowly comes back into view through one of the craters on the moon. We take so much for granted each day as the sun rises and sets and the moon passes over. But at this moment around 2:30 in the afternoon, as the birds all went to roost, the frogs and crickets started chirping, the air cooled dramatically, stars started to appear and darkness briefly fell, it was as if in that very moment, all of creation stood up and demanded to be noticed and applauded. It did not go unfulfilled by us as we all screamed out in excitement to witness this before our very eyes. When you see this image, I hope it reminds you that nothing in our world should be taken for granted. So stop a moment and thank God and the universe for such grand creations, power and strength.
"Early Morning Mist"
LE0010 ... After having just captured a partial lunar eclipse, I stuck around for a bit longer and watched the sun come up and just as the details of this incredible scene came into view, I knew I had captured something that needed to be shared. Tranquility at its Finest.
"Oscar's Strut"
LE0009 ... This is one of the first images I captured when I moved to beautiful Lake Sinclair. I knew the moment I saw all the birds around this lake I had found home. Each cove here seems to have its own pair of Great Blue Herons. Ours are known as Oscar and Olivia.
"In All Its Glory"
LE0007 ... When the entire world around you catches on fire with color, it takes your breath away and reminds us of just how precious each and every moment is. I hope this image takes your breath away as it did mine as it appeared before me and I knew when the shutter snapped, I had something special to share with others.
"Blood Moon & Stars" Total Lunar Eclipse 01-20-19
LE0014 ... As the Earth passes between our moon and sun, it casts an almost eerie orange shadow across it. When I look at it, I feel as though I am watching an absolutely incredible sunset and sunrise at the same moment and not just over the horizon from my local viewpoint but of the entire face of the moon. What an awesome experience it is to witness such an incredible phenomenon, and to be able to share it with others is a blessing beyond imagination. I hope this image captures your heart and makes it skip a beat as you think of the enormity of great beauty that our universe holds and that we are able to witness here on our little corner of it.
"Drift Wood Moments"

Anyone who has ever stood on the edge of the ocean and watched the sun come up behind a downed tree along any driftwood beach has simultaneously witnessed how life is absolutely consistent and on going while also ever changing! Time both regulates and changes everything. When you look at this image, I hope it reminds you how very important every moment in your life is!
